Since opening for business in 1955, Whirlwind Steel Buildings and Components have been made to last. We take the time to ensure your building is designed to meet local requirements, is built to code and resistant to snow and wind. We stand behind our products with seven different warranties, allowing you to decide what you need for your project. Since we offer our warranty directly and not through a middleman or broker, any warranty claim you may make is managed directly by Whirlwind Steel and our Customer Service Team.

Our Types of Warranties

Here at Whirlwind, there are three types of warranties: Building, Paint, and Weather Tightness. Our Paint and Weather Tightness warranties have different year lengths, while our Building warranty is for one year. The Weather Tightness and Paint warranties also cover any of our manufactured components.

Building Warranty

All Whirlwind fabricated products receive our 1-year Building Warranty after the completion of the project. This warranty covers all material made by Whirlwind Steel as described in the approved design when shipped. Here is the link to an example of our 1-year Building Warranty.

Paint Warranties

For Paint Warranties, you can choose from 25-year, 35-year, or 40-year options. These are warranties you can add to your building warranty or use with your component purchases. They cover peeling, cracks, flakes, or chalk that are not from everyday use of the building. Some fading is normal with any building used over the years, so some exceptions apply to our paint warranties concerning things that might have been damaged during installation and other situations. Weather Tightness Warranties

All three of our Weather Tightness Warranties are for 20 years. The difference between them is the number of inspections; our standard warranty only has one inspection at the time of completion, while our NDL warranty has three: the initial inspection, the halfway point, and when the roof is completed. Our standard warranty also has a transferable option, another Weather Tightness Warranty option you can choose. These warranties apply to the panels, clips, trim, and other products that are utilized in the agreed-upon design.
