How much per square foot does a metal building cost?
Metal buildings cost per square foot generally decrease as the building square footage increases. In addition, the complexity of the building (i.e. second floors, cranes, mansards, etc.) and the addition of accessories (i.e. doors, windows, ventilators, etc.) can increase the square foot cost significantly. As a general rule a 5,000 square foot erected building shell with moderate accessories typically may run between $4.00 and $6.00 per square foot, not including land, foundation, trade or finish work.
